It was the fuelling aerodrome for flights from London to Cape Town in the 1950s and has significant historical value.<\/p>\n<h4>Project description<\/h4>\n<p>Rehabilitation and development of the existing Aerodrome to service businesses, tourism and projects within a 300km radius of Victoria West. Develop the Aerodrome with a fire station to service the Aerodrome and the local municipality.<\/p>\n<h4>Targeted sectors<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Agriculture<\/li>\n<li>Drone facilities and flying school<\/li>\n<li>Export through aviation<\/li>\n<li>Aviation<\/li>\n<li>Logistics and distribution<\/li>\n<li>Car rental<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Investment value<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Immediate: R10-million<\/li>\n<li>Short\/medium term: R55-million<\/li>\n<li>Long term: R25-million<\/li>\n<li>Total: R100-million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Project Finance<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Grant funding is required for the terminal building and runways.<\/li>\n<li>Equity funding is required for the warehousing and logistics buildings, hangers and flying school facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Project status<\/h4>\n<p>A 22-year lease agreement has been signed with the Ubuntu Municipality.
